August 16th ~ Teajai Travis with Ninia Sotto

On Sunday, August 16th, the Stone & Sky audience was captivated by spoken word poet and soundscape artist Teajai Travis. He passionately shared fifteen poems full of powerful imagery, weaving important history in with his own identity and experiences. He used guitar and drum to make his stories even more impactful. As well, the audience was delighted by surprise special guest Ninia Sotto who added her voice to one piece.

Stone & Sky Music & Arts series is part of the programming of Windsor Feminist Theatre.

Special thanks to Ontario Arts Council, Canada Heritage, Canada Council, MP Brian Masse with the Canada Summer Jobs Program, and Karrie & David Fraser with Bunkie Life.
