Nadine Deleury, is a professional cellist, retired from first chair of Michigan Opera Theatre orchestra. In Windsor, she has produced or been part of many different projects, including the mounting of the chamber opera Pat & Emilia (by Gervais and Smallman). She plays with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. Nadine is returning to Southern Ontario from her new home in Montreal to perform with the Scarab Club Chamber Music in Detroit and on Pelee Island as part of the 2022 Stone & Sky Season.
Both French and Canadian, Deleury was born and educated in France but moved to the United States in 1979 and made her home in Windsor for several years. She received diplomas from the Paris Conservatory and Yale School of Music and has been principal cellist of the Michigan Opera Theatre orchestra since 1985. She also teaches at Oakland University in Michigan and plays as an extra musician with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra. She is the co-artistic director of Chamber Music at the Scarab Club in Detroit, this year in its 20th season.
